Know how to operate your vehicle....DO NOT be afraid to ask for help.
Wear a helmet, eye protection and other safety gear.
Wear weather appropriate clothing. Use layers and wear waterproof items if possible.
Pack a small backpack with emergency items.
Be prepared with tools and supplies.
Be respectful of wildlife, avoid spooking livestock and wildlife.
Take your trash home with you.
Leave 150 feet between sleds - don't tailgate.
Reminder - Wisconsin law now requires everyone born after January 1, 1985 needs to have completed a safety certification course in order to ride on public trails and lakes unaccompanied.
